Close up!
Shorter and I practiced vlogging this morning in a new spot to see how the lighting looked. Enjoy! Vlog

Hi Maria, I really liked your vlog today. Thank you for addressing how to distract from the pain. I have been trying to think of ways that I could do this too, or else my pain drives me crazy and I become obsessed with it. So your vlog was very helpful in this aspect. I have a question for you: sometimes I have a hard time getting out of bed in the morning because I don't want to face the day and the pain that will come. What are some things that you tell yourself to keep you positive and uplifted in the morning?
Just posted a long reply to this on Youtube and I don't think it worked! Anyway, I said you are always so positive and inspiring! :) I know I always tell you that, but it is so true, I admire that!
I hope the acupuncture gets better. I use to get nervous I would have the use the bathroom with the needles all stuck in me! :) Bow I just relax and enjoy it (and use the potty before leaving the house).
I kiss Ginger on the mouth too, but she always squirms so I have to get her good! :) Have a nice day!
Haha Shorter is all dressed up!
I like to put bowties on Zuki. Just that extra touch of handsomeness
Maria!
I just watched your WHOLE vlog (I emphasize whole, because I never watch video's to the end :P)
But what you said really inspired me. We could all use some tips on distracting ourselves during difficult periods in our life. And what you said about being an athlete and pushing yourself to the next level really interested me, seeing as I'm such a non-athlete, I have issues just "gritting me teeth and going on"... If you have any more tips on "pushing yourself" through uncomfortable (exercise) situations, that would be great.
And I hope all goes well with acupuncture!
Love,
Tina
Your vlog was so helpful! Sometimes fixating on my injury when it hurts intensifies it by 100%. I found that I can stand longer when I'm cooking than I can when doing dishes, (haha) so these distraction techniques will help so much.
& thank you for adressing accupuncture. I'm really considering it but its so expensive.
Thank you for your positivity
You are beautiful. I knew you were beautiful INSIDE from your words. But you are now , I see, beautiful on the OUTSIDE also.
Beautiful dog and beautiful hat.
Your strength is something beyond me and I think you are amazing.
BTW, thanks for the link yesterday. I have read The Power of Now by Tolle and thought it was EXCELLENT...New Earth, however, I could not really "get into"...have a nice night.
Awww cute family! Is that a goldendoodle?
Great vlog!! You didn't seem shy at all. :)
I liked doing acupuncture although I can't really speak on its effectiveness since I've actually only done it once. My experience with it sounds like yours. I need to search for a place that will take insurance. Wouldn't that be nice! I know you have to do it for at least 3 mo i think to see any true benefits. I felt very relaxed afterwards, so I think that is common. Maybe not common for people dealing with serious pain, but I hope you'll feel that sense of relaxation eventually!
Good luck! I'm rooting for you!
p.s. I love seeing Shorter on video!
Love your vlogs, Maria! I'm a learning junkie, too, and remember being so excited when I started acupuncture to learn everything I could. My super awesome acupuncturist suggested I read The Web That Has No Weaver. It's a wonderfully written introduction to Chinese medicine, and you might find it interesting.
Sending you healing thoughts. I really admire your strength.
Mary, I am going to make a quick vlog in response to your question because I think it could help a lot of readers. Thank you for the great question, sweet comments, and for reading and watching! Sending healing love and light to you xoxo
I commented back on everyone's blogs :-)
