Not So Confused

Thank you all so much for your care and concern! I appreciate your commitment to my journey and me.

I have spent the last few days going inward, reading inspirational material, and strengthening my relationship with God. It is a miracle that I was able to use my father's relationship with an old friend and health care professional to be seen by Dr. Schwartzmann, who otherwise has a three year waiting list for new patients (and he dismisses many that he sees for consults if they are not healthy enough). Something in my heart tells me this is happening for a reason, so I called the doctor yesterday to inform him I will do what it takes to find remission. He spoke with me for a good ten minutes, reassuring me that he will fix me. My commitment to health, eating well, maintaining my mental health, and doing rehabilitation on my own, convinces him that I am the perfect candidate for remission through ketamine (inpatient or coma). He assured me that it may not be easy, pleasant, or happen the first try, but he will fix me. This coupled with my holistic care will make this a "forever fix."

I have a lot on my mind to write about after going inward the last few days, but I am off to see that precious baby for a few hours... enjoying the wonder and beauty of life.

I like how you say its almost like it was meant to be, I know of people who have scheduled appointment with him that aren't till 2012! I'm so glad that he thinks you're a perfect candidate and that he is banking on healing you in conjunction with the hard work you put in yourself. And that it sounds like he spent time with you, I find it means you put a lot more trust in medical professionals if they spend a bit of time.
Keep us posted on how things are working out as far as scheduling etc and what the plan is. I'm so excited for the potential prospect of all this for you, its every rsd patients dream to find a dr who says he is prepared to heal you!

Sending love and prayers and positive vibes to you oxox

I knew by the time I got my last novel-length comment posted that you'd have already made a decision and written about it, yet I still wanted to add my words.

I believe we are very close to finding some answers as to why we have RSD/CRPS - too many people with similar issues (could it be more likely if you're low in B12? What about other nutritional issues? Prior injury? Undiagnosed fibromyalgia?! What?!) and I can't help but suspect there's a 'perfect storm' effect which renders one person with this disorder post-injury, while another with the same injury or worse literally walks away unscathed.

But we need to act NOW. You know that you've worked and fought so hard to get this far and you're not done yet!

If this treatment has a chance at allowing you to achieve your goals more easily, live your days with more joyous movement, then by all means!!! :)

And this time you're seeing Dr Schwartzman, you know what to expect and have vast amounts of knowledge, surely more than you did a couple of years ago!

You're strong and healthy and you are going to help yourself with one of the only options out there for us, one which I've personally seen the effects of on a person. It is amazing.

Bless you and your journey, dear woman. Thank you for continuing to share with us!
