Our Thoughts Create Our Worlds

I know that a lot of my readers are having difficulty understanding how our thoughts can quite literally create our realities, and therefore, our diseases. Here, Lynn Walker answers these questions for you. Enjoy!

Einstein says that energy can neither be created nor destroyed. It is merely converted from one form to another. The Universal Equation E=MC2 does not mean Matter is converted Energy. It means Matter is Energy.

I hope that the exercise to journal your thoughts for a full 24 hours was illuminating for you. The reason we asked you to do this was for you to see whether or not the majority of your thinking is positive or negative; for most people, the thoughts are consistently critical and full of judgment to oneself as well as others. I used to call this my mind chatter.

I begged my psychiatrists and doctors to find a prescription or diagnosis, anything to shut off this chatter; in other words, I felt trapped by it because I did not know that I WAS ABLE TO CONROL IT! No one, not one therapist, not one doctor ever said to me that I was the master of my life and able to control my thinking IF I wanted to! I was not a victim of self-criticism 24 hours a day if I chose not to be. To this day, I wonder why that little secret was never revealed to me.

The following is a link to the Universal cosmic laws which were put forth over 4000 years ago by Hermes Trismegistus in The Kybalion. ( http://sevencosmiclaws.com/the_seven_cosmic_laws )

They are too lengthy to describe here so please visit the link to see full explanations for the laws and how they affect us; there is also an explanation of how we may use these laws to our full advantage. Although these laws are over 4000 years old, they have been proven correct by the quantum physicists of today. For our purposes, we will be looking at the first and third laws: The Law of Mind and The Law of Vibration.

Qantum physics states that something can only come into existence when it is observed. That means that something only exists once it is thought it into existence. Everything exists primarily as a quantum potentiality or Quanta. When something is observed, Quanta (energy) comes together to form subatomic particles, then atoms, and then molecules until finally something manifests in the physical world as a localized space-time event that can be observed by the five physical senses. (Enoch Tan http://www.mindreality.com/)

There is a famous experiment that shows us the Universe exists by being experienced; scientists are trying to determine whether light behaves as a particle or as a wave – theoretically, it cannot be both, it must be either or. In conducting the experiment, the scientists found that it was both! Light behaved as a particle for some scientists and as a wave for others – it all depended on who was observing the experiment at any given time or who was experiencing the small Universe of that experiment! In other words, depending on the scientist's INTENTION or THINKING, the light would then behave accordingly!

From this, we see that the observer is never apart from the observation. The experimenter becomes part of the experiment as he/she becomes the observer who is simultaneously playing a part in creating the reality he/she is observing. Physicists who deal in quantum mechanics state: “You cannot (objectively) observe something without changing it in the process.” (Enoch Tan www.mindreality.com)

Secondly, everything in the Universe is energy and it is energy in motion or vibration. While we think we see objects in our site lines, what we are really seeing is energy or particles in vibration and a great deal of empty space; however, because we are told by our parents and others as we grow up that this thing in front of us is a “such and such”, we literally tell our minds that we are seeing the “such and such”. We do not look at it and see particles vibrating with empty space! Our minds fill in these blanks with what works best for us to maintain the status quo. Here is a wonderful link that you can visit to understand how we see what we see and why: http://evolutionezine.com/optical-illusions/.

This is important because if everything in our world is energy and energy is following our intentions, then we have far more control over creating our reality than we have ever believed! What an amazing, simple and powerful idea! Begin to notice your thoughts during the day...are you constantly engaging in negative self-criticism? Or are you engaging in judging others severely? OR, are you telling yourself that you are beautiful, smart, capable and abundant on a regular basis? And even more importantly, are you telling yourself daily that your body is healing?

There was a beautiful experiment done by Masru Emoto about what happens to the molecular structure of water when you give it basic messages that are either positive or negative.

(http://www.life-enthusiast.com/twilight/research_emoto.htm) It was found that the molecular structure of water was deeply affected by these “thoughts”. If the human body is almost 55 to 78% water, can you imagine what is going on inside us when we are bombarded day in and day out with negativity? Imagine a building that is subjected to constant shocks and battering rams; after a time that building begins to crumble and break apart. That is what is happening to your body on a physical level when you are blasting it over and over with negative thoughts that are fueled by the power of emotion.

Bottom line, why is all this important? Personal Power. How many times have you tried to change someone else? How many times have you come up against a situation that just perplexes you and keeps you stuck? In certain recovery programs, it is taught that you cannot change people, places or things and trying to do so will just cause more and more distress; however, once you realize that you can control your thoughts ABOUT a person, place or thing, you have taken the power back! Taken one step further, once you know that you can create reality by your thinking, you are then able to create your reality to be safe and one in which you are happy, peaceful, and healthy.

Try a little experiment. In the morning, wake up and CREATE the day! Don't just think about it, but write it down. If you want to see miracles, decide that there will be miracles that day. Perhaps you need to go to your doctor's office and you always end up waiting an hour or more to see the doctor; today, create a reality where you only wait 10 minutes! In order to do this, you must consciously SEE your day as you want it to be. FEEL how free and happy you are that everything you are visualizing is happening just as you see it! Become excited and feel that excitement through your entire body! At the same time, offer thanks to this beautiful Universe and the mind that thought it into existence, as it has now become your Universe in which to co-create!

Try this exercise everyday for one week....Do this first thing in the morning when you awaken and are relaxed.

Be sure and let us know what happens!

Thanks for this post. I have been trying to practice the law of attraction and making affirmations about my healing. Your post came at a good time - last week I had been monitoring my negative thoughts and decided to turn it around. I continued to affirm what I want and need in my life. However, the past few days have been hard, and I find myself going back to my same patterns of giving up and losing faith. Thanks for reminding me to continue with "doing the work" - it may be difficult at times, but it is worth it, and will pay off one day soon, when I am healed and cured.

Terrific post, thank you so much!

This idea of 'thoughts become things' is so simple, and yet so complicated because my thoughts are often reactions. Every day I wake up in pain from the rheumatism, the first words in my consciousness something like 'I'm in so much pain' or as I scan my awareness to see what joint hurts the most today 'I hurt all over'. Each time I must remember to tell myself 'Wait! Stop, cancel, rewind, erase...' so I can start again with positive thinking: 'Mmmm, such a nice, safe, warm bed. And here's my dear love snoring gently, I'm so grateful for her presence in my life. And what a beautiful day! Listen to those birds singing. And maybe I'll have eggs for breakfast, mmmm...' And even as I totter to the bathroom, little mincing steps, hand on wall for stability, I remember to feel grateful I have an indoor bathroom!

It sounds crazy but such thinking shifts my mood. I can get out of grumpy, quit feeling sorry for myself, and truly get to a place of appreciation for all the gifts and blessings in my life. I have to work at it, but the alternative is diminished ability to deal with things, the pressures of owning a small business and making enough to keep my employees happy and motivated and decently paid; keeping our clients happy, making deadlines.

Now I've just finished a book by Robert Moss called the Secret History of Dreaming and he stalks about healing imagery, guided imagery, power of positive thinking. And again, I appreciate being able to sit down here and find this blog and many other resources that will help me not just bear the burden of this disease, but actually erase it or at least ease it.

I read your later post saying this one might be too much, but let it sit here in your blog where it will find people like me. I've been studying law of attraction stuff, thoughts become things, for many years but really deeply the past four years. I still forget to practice it, and it's the pain that diverts me. But I know from many experiences now that it is quite real. 'Demonstrations' as Florence Scovel Shinn calls them. She's a great one for explaining how thoughts become things, especially if you don't mind biblical references, and how the words we speak are powerful one way or the other. John Assaraf's "The Answer" has an outstanding description of recent discoveries in quantum physics and how it all relates to one's own reality.

Thanks for the great post, Lynn. Like ripples in the pond, you'll never know how far this will go.
