Hi, healers! Ok, I know I haven't been around lately, and many of you, my sweet friends, have wondered where I have been and how I have been feeling (which I so appreciate). The answer to these questions are I have been smothered in classes, homework, hospice work, and doctors and treatments, and I have not been feeling great. I became lost in my goals and hospice patients and their families, and I forgot about myself and my connection to God/Source/Spirit. Healing is a 24/7 job. There is no vacation from self-care, but I took one to stress-land. Talk about a sh*tty place to vacation! We will NEVER be able to give to and care for others if we do not take care of ourselves FIRST. I am learning this lesson over again because it was VERY easy in the summer months to take care of myself when my environment was controlled - no classes, no patients, just healing. Now, I am finishing my Master's degree, working in hospice, and beginning to prepare for my licensing exam, which equals stress, stress, and more stress.
I am working on rebalancing and will take you through how I am doing this along with explaining the important lessons I have learned along the way. Blogging and staying connected with you has been something I have always enjoyed, and as part of my self-care, I am going to try to make the time to do this as my last semester of graduate school begins this week. Fingers crossed!
More to come! If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
