Treatment Updates

Hi, healers! STILL studying for my licensing exam. Hopefully, I will be on my way to being licensed within the next week. Right now, I'm practicing the Gerson technique (raw vegan) for detoxification and healing. It involves A LOT of green juice, raw fruits and veggies, and daily coffee enemas. Yes, I said "coffee enemas." I'm five days in. I'll keep you updated on how it goes. It's more of a lifestyle than a treatment, but it's pretty intensive when you are actively sick. Also, I've been experimenting with Low-Dose Naltrexone (LDN) for the past few months with some good results.
Don't forget to check out my new blog post on crazysexylife.com about hospice.
Here are some ADORABLE pictures Addie's grandma on her mommy's side shared with me from last weekend. Isn't she a beauty?!

Finishing Up and Pictures

Hi, healers! Here are a few pictures from the last week. Enjoy!
Take a look at the salad I had this past weekend at a little coffee shop near the water while "studying" with one of my favorite people in the whole world.
Romaine, chickpeas, olives, cucumbers
Check out the blueberries from the blueberry bush my dad gave me!

Shorter did not want me studying.

Addie eating her fruit and watching Snow White.

Addie sharing her fruit with Shorter.

The two love birds!

The babies and me snuggling on Daddy's bed and watching Snow White.

Addie playing in her sandbox.

I finish up my clinical hours at the hospice on Thursday. I can't believe it! I'll be terminating with my remaining clients Tuesday and Thursday. I'm really going to miss everyone. My supervisor gave me a beautiful end-of-the-year evaluation. It brought me to tears!
Today, I have a meeting with the vice president of hospice and palliative care for a wonderful organization near my home. Wish me luck!

Check out the post I wrote yesterday on seeing everyone and everything as a lesson.

You Are My Teacher

Ever wonder why certain people or situations enter into your life or somehow seem to
find their way back in after periods of absence? Doesn't it sometimes seem
as if they are only present to decrease contentment and increase
aggravation? Many times, we react to certain people and situations based on
past experiences, limiting belief systems, or preconceived notions about
how things "should be," "could be," or how we want/need
them to be to achieve lasting happiness and satisfaction.

If you experience a strong emotional, physical, mental, and/or spiritual reaction to
someone or something, especially if those feelings are negative and
low-vibrational, take a moment to look within, to examine the internal, to sit
alone with God/Source/Spirit/Creator and meditate. Ask yourself and your higher
power, “What is the lesson in this,” and then quiet your mind and connect to
your heart to hear the answer.

It is imperative that we recognize the lesson in everything the FIRST time so that we
do not recreate that same situation and the frustration, heartache, and
discontentment that often accompanies it again and again (because we will recreate it
until we change).

When we search for the lesson in every situation, each moment transforms from negative
to positive and into an opportunity for personal and spiritual growth. I’ve
known this for some time now, but I am re-learning this important concept more
deeply and fully today. The journey never ends.

Happy Healing and Happy Father's Day to the most wonderful man I'll ever know!
Also, really wonderful questions being asked on my formspring page. I welcome them.

Stuck

Hi, healers! I'm sorry my blog has been rather lame lately. I'm stuck in this limbo finishing up my clinical hours at the hospice and studying for my licensing exam. It's sort of like groundhog's day over here for me. My days consist of stretching, meditating, praying, doctors, treatments, medications, hospice, and studying for my licensing exam. It's all consuming. I'm attempting to have some fun, but I have a lot on my mind (which I will discuss with you at a later date).
I participated in a meditation and intuition developing group Wednesday evening, and it was truly incredible. I was probably the least intuitive in the group, but I'm working on it. It was so simple to drift deeply into a meditative state in such an intuitively charged group. It's something I cannot recreate on my own just yet. I'd recommend a group setting if you are having difficulty meditating. One gentleman actually laid hands on me, and it was truly remarkable. I felt this overwhelming pressure and heat over my entire head (where he was working).  A great experience.

Right now, I have this overwhelming desire to become closer to God/Source/Spirit/Creator and my authentic self, but it is so difficult when one is stuck in this material, lower-level world studying for licensing exams... Oh well. I'm doing the best I can given my circumstances.

In between studying, I am reading Osho's "The Book of Wisdom: The Heart of Tibetan Buddhism - Commentaries on Atisha's Seven Points of Mind Training." Osho is one of the most relevant mystics of our times. Worth the read.

Your questions on my formspring page have been really wonderful. Feel free to ask away! I'm an open book.

Happy Healing!

Babies, Puppies, and Requests

Hi, healers! Sorry I haven't been writing as much. I've been enjoying some down time after graduation while I finish up my clinical hours at the hospice and attempt to prep for my licensing exam (ick). Is there anything you would like me to write about? I'll take requests! RSD/CRPS related, raw food related, spirituality related, hospice related, etc...? Don't forget you can ask me anonymous questions on my formspring page.
Here are some cute pictures from the last week. Enjoy!
